Used to be a nice place, they have a very nice pool and hot tub, also a small sauna which is very popular in winter. The place is more like a rustic campground, I would not call it a resort. Some of the staff are rude, others are as accomodating as possible, there is a French Canadian guy in the office, super nice guy. Avoid the place if you're allergic to mosquitoes as they outnumber the residents/visitors at least 6 to 1. The drumcircle night used to be nice and free, then they started charging $5 then $10 and more recently $15. The first visit is no longer free. They have raised prices left and right but do not spend the money to improve the place. Management does not run the place as a business more like their own little kingdom.

Secluded, but close to shopping and restaurants. Friendly staff and a welcoming, safe environment. Accommodations are simple, clean, and comfortable. Camping and RV sites available. I highly recommend and look forward to visiting again!

Sunsport Gardens, whilst one of the most beautiful, untouched, and organic grounds I have ever had the pleasure of residing on, is a despicable organization, and I would not recommend this place as one to stay at longer than a days visit... I had resided here for 2 years and found extreme unprofessionalism with management in regards to nearly every possible dilemma with living situation, visitors, and overall quality of living. I am not the first and most certainly will not be the last to have terrible experiences at this place. Enter at your own risk. They will fluctuate the price for entry as they see fit, will not uphold their own postings on drum circle entries and price, and discriminate based on age and sex. The past two years I have left during their annual "Kids Camp" as the owner and management has allowed sketchy and otherwise inappropriate individuals to attend and PHOTOGRAPH this event. I truly wish to have had better closure whilst escaping this place, as many others have left shortly after I for incidents regarding assault and poor managing. My best days here were days where there was no interaction with the foolery of management. The best parts of Sunsport remain the amenities and the great ground staff (given most of the buildings are not up to code and pretty much unsafe...the spa and showers are wonderful). Danielle, Danny, Sean & Tracy, and others who have up kept the gardens to keep it beautiful. I could continue to write an essay about the treachery of Sunsport and how I will never support or promote this place as I had, but I am certain I have made all the points I need to give a true insight to anyone who may see this. Cypress Cove or Paradise Lakes are options I HIGHLY recommend. Happy Nuding :)

A wild and wonderful campground! Daniel at the desk and Tom the manager are welcoming and helpful, and I met friendly folks at water aerobics. I shall return! 🐲🧡 p.s. - there were dragons at my lakeside campsite (see photo).

My husband and I are members of Sunsport Gardens and have been visiting this resort for a couple of years. It is such a relaxing place to spend some down time. It is on 40 acres of wooded areas and gardens that have been kept very natural. The pool and newly renovated hot tub are lovely, and the tiki bar has great burgers. Tracy who works at the tiki bar is awesome. We have made many friends at Sunsport Gardens and enjoy the drum circle on Friday nights when we can make it. There are many residents that live here and we have found them mostly very friendly. SSG is owned and run by Morley. Morley appears to be in his 80's and is sadly ruining what could be an absolute paradise. He has very old school ideas and has no desire to put any money into improvements. The building that use to house the restaurant is run down and like a dungeon, it is very much in disrepair and has a stench. The water fountain at the pool has not worked for a very long time. The children's playground is not safe, and the volleyball and petanque courts are completely run down. My husband and I pay over $1000 a year as members of this place and we are sad to see that Morley, and his girlfriend, and her other boyfriend have no desire to clean this place up, or listen to suggestions from the residents or members. I definitely would not suggest spending any money to visit Sunsport Gardens. They are working on outlawing anything and anyone that is enjoyable.

Been going to Sun Sports Gardens for years , it has changed for the worst recently and fast. Don’t know what’s happening with the cafeteria but they never publish what’s on the menu if you call to find what’s in the menu for the day you are visiting you get no answer they simply do not know, so I have to buy and bring my own food and refreshments as though they had no cafeteria every time. The parking area at the front for checking in is very limited if it rains there are big puddles of water that you then have to take off your shoes and walk into the big poodles to go register then walk back into that puddle and mess up your floor. The front receptionist is always very friendly he has a French accent others there if he is off are equally nice. One person I do not ever want to run into isTom, He is not at the front desk but has other duties, he is very inhospitable and very rude, he used to be nice but a few years ago he went “postal” nasty ! I used to promote the place but some that took me up on it reported the rudeness from Tom, so it’s not just with me. I no longer promot Sun Sports Gardens since they have eliminated the free visit as free, it’s been illuminated additionally they started charging to attend the monthly Drum Circle , first ot was free then 5.00, then 10.00 now it’s 50 percent higher at 15.00 per person but there are two water fountains that do not work just warm low pressure water, they know the Drum Circle is every First Friday of the month but if it’s going to rain they do NOT Cover the wood causing huge issues trying to light the fire. It’s like they do not care, since it’s the norm to not cover the wood.for years. For over 6 month they did not have paper-towels in the men’s restroom to dry your hands. They finally corrected that issue but over 6 months of waiting. Saw the intro where it reads nudity is expected but Sun Sports Gardens allows people to walk around fully clothed except in the pool and hot tub area but some make their way there and loiter and no one is there to make them move on. Personally I feel very uncomfortable with fully clothed people mixing in with us that are nude. There are also issues with smokers by the pool and hot tub and vaping specially a blonde young woman that will curse you out stating vaping is not smoking even though it’s posted, the none smoking and no vaping signs others have beer or sodas and other refreshments at the pool and hot tub knowing NO One will say a word to them . Years back some one an employee would walk at the gathering areas mentioned and monitor these violations of the rules but for years not anyone is seen nor does anyone say anything to them or when people enter the pool or hot tub with clothing usually females that do this when at the front desk they do an excellent job of mentioning all the rules. Speaking of smoking and vaping they did away with smoking and vaping section so I heard people tell me on Friday November 3rd the night of the Drum Circle drinks and smoking by the pool and hot tub. I am a none smoker if you try to let someone know it’s not permitted they become very vocal and nasty as if they have never heard of smoking bans. At this point I will only go to Sun Sports if it’s a special occasion like a Birthday it has become an unwelcoming place like if the DMV was running it. I can not prompt it until I hear things have changed but frankly the way it’s gone I do not anticipate anyone bring it back to nice!
